Ron Watson & Apryl Lea are seasoned competitors and lifelong teachers. Building upon their competitve athletic and coaching history and deep understanding of positive training, they bring a unique style to discdog instruction that creates passionate and enthusiastic discdog handlers every where they teach.

Ron & Apryl have taught people across North America and Europe how to jam, and have been at the forefront of the evolution of discdog instruction and have taken that instruction to the masses via web based video and online communities.

Ron & Apryl believe in the principles of positive training.

Corrections are not employed in any Pawsitive Vybe seminars. The ability to teach without coercion or compulsion is clearly on display and is clearly explained and demonstrated.

The principles of Positive Dog Training are well understood by both Ron & Apryl and they can teach others how to employ these techniques and philosophies in the game of disc.

Working without corrections, compulsion or coercion creates a magic game of disc that keep both dog and handler eager and keen to play the game.

Charlotte Discdog Seminar 03.15.08

Continental Boarding

Ron & Apryl will be conducting a Discdog seminar at Contintental Boarding on the 15th of March.

Up to 18 working teams will participate in this full day seminar open to all experience levels for a cost of $85. Auditing spots are available for $50 and auditors will be able to participate in the throwing portions of this event.

Equipment

For this Seminar, you'll need to bring:

  • Discs
  • Leash
  • Tie Out/Crate
  • Some Yummy Treats

You can bring whatever you'll need to make you and your dog comfortable.

Tents are allowed.

  Here is a list of dog friendly places.  The Residence Inn has a $75 fee and the Mainstay Suites has a $35 fee.  I don’t think the rest of them do.  Let me know how I can help.  I don’t know if the LaQuinta accepts pets these days but I know more and more of them are.

Additional Information

Continental Boarding does have some space indoors for us to work in case of bad weather.

Food will be available for a small charge at the event site.

Apryl and I will be available for Personal Instruction on Sunday if there is enough interest from the seminar participants. Personal Instruction will cost $75/hour $40/half-hour. A sign in sheet will be available on the day of the seminar.
